Masking
Masks are still required at St. Joe’s. Anyone entering the hospital must be screened upon entry and wear a mask at all times.
Patients who are in labour:
Two (2) designated caregivers/support people can accompany a patient. Each patient admitted to mother baby unit is permitted two (2) designated caregivers/support people.
Parents or caregiver of babies admitted to the Special Care Nursery:
Two (2) designated supports are permitted.
Inpatients:
Up to four (4) caregivers/support people are permitted for each inpatient, only two (2) at the bedside at one time, with the exception of families of an End of Life patient, which will be determined by the clinical team.
Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and be able to wear a mask at all times.
Outpatients clinics:
One (1) accompaniment is allowed for all patients.
Emergency, Urgent Care, Psychiatric Emergency Services, Obstetrics Clinic and Obstetrics Ultrasound
One (1) caregiver/support person is allowed for all patients.
